Adler is in the Gym: Adlerian Psychology for Healthy Living with Sonia Nicolucci
Part of the 2018-2019 webinar series

Sonia’s journey in Adlerian Psychology started when she enrolled her first son into Kinderschool Adlerian Nursery School almost 16 years ago.   The school requirement is that each parent takes their parenting course which happens to be completely based on Children: the Challenge by Rudolf Dreikurs.  Parenting the Adlerian way made a lot of sense, and Sonia continued down the path of Parent Education and Classroom Facilitator through Positive Discipline; Coaching Certificates with Adler School in Toronto;  completing her MA with Adler School Minnesota; currently working on Play Therapy Diploma with Play Therapy International.   Sonia thoroughly enjoys supporting  children, parents, athletes, and coaches under the amazing Adlerian umbrella.

Useless to Useful: Moving Family Members from Discouragement to Belonging, with Calvin Armerding. Moderated by Marina Bluvshtein
Adler (1964) wrote that “the really important differences of conduct...are those...of useless and useful” (p. 78). When family members are discouraged about having a place of significance on the "useful side of life," they shift towards problematic ways of living. This presentation will suggest a method of encouragement to help discouraged family members reorient through community feeling. Implications for marriage, parenting, and intergenerational relationships will be addressed.
