The webinar focuses on a holistic, goal-oriented, socially-focused understanding of the pluses and minuses of our clients’ religious and/or spiritual lives. Adler’s theoretical constructs are used to understand the lifestyle movement of clients and to discern how clients’ religion/spirituality may be effecting completion of their three major life tasks. Does it help them develop in a socially interested direction or in a self-bounded fashion? This discussion is intended to help supervisors and clinicians feel more comfortable in dealing psychologically with clinically related religious/spiritual matters.
