William G. Nicoll
Dr. William Nicoll is a Professor and former Chair in the Department of Counselor Educator at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Nicoll served for several years as the ACA National Trainer in Brief Counseling. His professional background includes serving as a classroom teacher, special education teacher (EH and LD), school counselor and teacher association president. He has worked in both U.S. public schools and international schools. Bill has also provided individual and family counseling in a community agency, correctional and private practice settings. Dr. Nicoll is internationally known for his work in the areas of brief counseling and therapy, family counseling and school counseling including the development of resilient youth, bullying preventions, and the characteristics of effective school, classroom and family environments He has presented well over 400 lectures and workshops throughout North America and in numerous countries throughout Africa, S. America, Asia and Europe. He has been involved with many international projects including the development of school counseling programs in Russia and Saudi Arabia.
